Trip to the Pearl of the Orient!

Ryokan Hotel! A historical-like building!
During this Raya holidays, I had the chance to go for a trip to Penang AGAIN! Usually, I joined my group of friends whom I always used to be with for a trip to this wonderful island. However, this time all of my friends planned to spend their holidays with their family at home. And so, I am alone again, fortunately, God doesn't want me to be alone, and He encourage me to make new friends and even let me to join them for a trip! Anyway, I knew them in the church . It was an amazing and enjoyable trip, and I will never forget this moment!

We went to Penang for 3 days and 2 nights. And we stayed at Ryokan Hotel, which is a place that most of the Penang citizens are not aware of its existence! I can say that only tourists from overseas know this hotel, and I tell you, it is not an ordinary hotel. This hotel is built with Japanese concept, you can see it by its design and style! This hotel has dorm concept as well and believe it or not, there are no differences when staying in my university's hostel. The room is occupied with 4 double decker beds and 4 cupboards for us to keep our bags. And we share our bathrooms with other guests. The most interesting part is that I get to know few tourists from England, China and Taiwan! All the guests are from overseas, and we are the only local who stayed there. "Ahhhh, I've reached somewhere I am not belong to!"^^

                                                                        Day 1:
This photo was taken outside Penang Times Square^^
After unpack our stuff in the hotel, we started our stroll around Komtar, and we saw a stall which sell Penang's famous mouth-watering Cendol and Ice Kacang at a corner of a row of old shops, and it is very cheap yet delicious! Then, we went to Prangin Mall for shopping, and I bought 2 T-shirts with affordable price. We spent about half a day shopping there. Then we went to Macalister Road for dinner, of course, we won't miss Penang's Char Kuey Teow and "Oh Jien" (fried oyster with egg) as well! Then after dinner, we went back to hotel and enjoyed the night there!

Day 2:
A photo taken in Gurney Plaza of Penang^^
Another day came, the weather was humid and the Sun was not blazing hot with little rain. It was the most suitable temperature where we can walk around without sweating. We went to Queensbay Mall on the second day, and we took the whole day shopping! There were a variety of delicious food at the food court which we could not miss! We explored every single shop present at the mall, and you know, it was a very exciting experience! Then, around 7:30pm, we headed to Gurney Plaza. We walked around and took our Japanese dinner there. It seemed that we did not buy anything, but we enjoyed walking around the mall and looking at things! Before 10:30pm, we went back to our hotel. It was a tiring day though!

Day 3:
Finally, the last day in Penang, we spent our time to Penang Times Square for a stroll and walked along the row of shops outside the buildings. There I bought few boxes of Penang's famous Tambun biscuits which every tourists can't miss to buy it! Then around 7pm, after we had our dinner at the Red Dragon Restaurant which is located just few miles from our hotel, we decided to go back. We rode a ferry to Butterworth and went back to Sungai Petani by bus, same as what we did when we were heading to Penang! We reached AIMST around 10PM. It was tiring but a nice trip indeed! I would like to go for a trip like this again with them in the future!

Although there are some experiences which I didn't share in here, but I can say that this trip not only can bridge our friendship gap closer, I can make new friends as well! The time spent during the trip is not wasted, it was fun and breathtaking! ^^

Final Destination 5 Showtime!!

Here it comes! Final Destination 5 is finally out for show!
I've just watched this creepy movie today!
When my friends and I were out for an outing this noon, we decided to watch a movie, and here it is. We have decided to watch Final Destination 5 as the other movies showtimes are at night, and that time I was thinking in my mind, "OMG! I'm not gonna to watch this disgusting movie in cinema!" I know I don't have the guts to watch such movie in the cinema.
But then, I keep telling myself, "It's okay, my frens are here to watch the movie together, so it might not be that scary."
When the show started, I began to cover my ears with my hands, sensing there will be something happened to the characters. It was not scary actually, it was nauseating instead! If such accident can happen in our life and we can really visualise it, then there will be no fate in this world. It is impossible to predict our destiny. Only God knows everyone's destiny, He's the creator of the world!
The movie is too exaggerating, but everyone knows it is only for entertainment purposes, so just enjoy it!
Fuh! I'm not going to explain the synopsis of the story line of this movie, but I can say that it is a movie which makes my heart beating faster, and it is a nice movie to watch!
Children under 18 should not watch this alone, it is not recommended to them. Haha^^

The Fear To Overcome Fear!! Back To Campus!!

Have you experienced the fear of going back to campus? Well, I'm not discussing about fear in this column, instead I am talking of my feelings when it is the time for me to get back to my university. When I woke up this morning, I reluctantly got off  my bed and kept thinking that my holidays were actually ended today! This unexplained feelings started to engulf my mood of the day. When I reached Tawau Airport, I felt a cold shiver around my body, and that is the feeling of uneasiness. When I was in the plane, I kept thinking whether I was afraid to go back to my campus, and I realised that I was not afraid at all. It is just a kind of feelings that I dont wanna leave my family behind. I relaxed myself by controlling myself not to think such thing. While on board, I was reading my new storybook The Chicken Soup For The Soul ''Campus Chronicles", and guess what, I actually read the stories about what I was going through today. When I took my first step at my room, I felt delighted and met my lovely roommates back ever since we were off for holidays. At that moment, things were not that scary after all!  I finally accepted the reality that I am going back to continue my studies, and I have to leave my family afar and get a degree back to make them proud. That is what I wish for now, nothing more than I can wish for, gand with God's blessings, I believe I can do it. There are many people supporting me, FRIENDS and FAMILY. Once I thought of that, I finally overcome my fear! I was thinking too much after all. But then it's a good start of my second year!
